I am a schoolteacher by vocation. I taught high school English at an inner-city high school in Indianapolis, Indiana. My wife is an elementary school teacher; however, she recently transitioned to begin homeschooling our four little ones, which is such a blessing and a sacrifice. Before teaching, I served five years in the US Army, and for the past 13 years now I have been a lay minister, serving The Lord around the United States, as well as in various countries around the world.
During this time, we have served as children's pastors, youth pastors, college ministers, small group leaders, family ministers, and church planters. I've been blessed to be able to write over 10 fiction books for teens and young adults, three of which are published, and, of course, all of them are evangelism and discipleship based. And they do pack a punch! Not because of the way I write, but because whenever you speak the truth of God to people, the Gospel packs a punch all by itself.
So what you should expect on this blog is that I'm going to share a few stories; we're going to dig into the Scriptures, and we're going to get to the root of things*.
*Things: issues, problems, questions., life-lessons, meanings behind readings, and much more.
